We believe that each child is unique with his or her own learning style. Our thematic based program is carefully structured to maximize each child’s potential and enrich their creativity. We understand the importance of literacy at an early age, making it one of our primary focuses. Our woodland setting allows students to experience nature, science, and the environment by exploring our nature trails, vegetable and flower gardens and wetlands. Our formal Nursery School is a separate program, open to those just attending the Nursery School while offering the convenience and flexibility of our excellent day care to those who wish to take advantage of it.
Children enrolled in our full time daycare program are also enrolled in our nursery school. Our nursery school is a themed interactive environment taught by degreed nursery school instructors. 3 year old’s attend nursery school two mornings per week while 4 year old’s attend three mornings per week.
When not in nursery school, children have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including supervised free play, circle time, singing, dramatic play and playground time. Playtime is supplemented with story time and quiet time which usually precede lunch. In addition to lunch we have a morning and afternoon snack. Any child in daycare for more than five hours has a required rest period every afternoon from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
